Direct Care Worker - Full Time Floater

JEVS is one of the largest and most respected non-profits in the Philadelphia area, dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives. We’re looking for compassionate, dependable, and flexible individuals to join our Community Living & Home Supports (CLHS) team as Direct Care Workers.

About the Role
This is a floater position, which means you’ll bring your support and care to different homes and locations. Flexibility is key—you’ll work a variety of shifts, including weekends (Saturday & Sunday).

What You’ll Do

• Provide person-centered support to adults with intellectual, physical, and/or behavioral disabilities, promoting dignity, choice, independence, and self-determination.

• Assist with daily living and personal care, including meals, bathing, dressing, toileting, household tasks, medication administration, and other needs based on the individual’s support plan.

• Support community involvement and skill development by accompanying individuals to appointments, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and other community experiences.

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment, while implementing individualized service plans, behavioral strategies, and health and safety procedures.

• Document and communicate effectively by completing required records, monitoring and reporting changes in individuals’ health or behavior, and working collaboratively with supervisors and the individual’s support team.

• Homes operate 24/7, so scheduling includes weekends and holidays

• The work can sometimes be physically and emotionally demanding, but the impact you make is immeasurable

The base pay for this position is $19 per hour!  Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
