We are currently hiring dependable and caring Direct Care Workers to assist individuals in residential and semi-independent living programs.
No previous experience? No problem. Paid training and certification are provided.
Position Overview
As a Direct Care Worker, you will help individuals maintain independence, safety, and quality of life while providing day-to-day support in AFC-licensed homes and community living settings.
Daily Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
- Prepare meals and assist with light household tasks
- Support medication routines
- Transport residents using company vehicles
- Encourage independence and positive daily routines
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
Available Shift Options
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 10:00 PM – 10:00 AM

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Michigan driver's license in good standing
- CPR/First Aid and CBIS certifications are a plus, but not required
- Experience in caregiving, direct care, CNA, rehabilitation, or TBI support is beneficial
