About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our client's team in the manufacturing sector. In this role, you will contribute to providing safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery to customers, maintaining shop and field equipment, and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate metal fabricating machines, such as rolls, shears, saws, punch presses, metal flanges, and benders, to cut, bend, roll, flange, seam weld, and form plates, sheets, and structural shapes as specified.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is delivered on time according to operational demands.
- Detect unusual conditions or specific problems and report to proper supervision.
- Observe good housekeeping practices and follow prescribed safety precautions.
- Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members.
- Identify opportunities to improve the service delivery process and participate in failure investigations when relevant.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Entry level: 0-3 years experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Basic blueprint reading and ability to read.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with management and peers in a clear and professional manner.
- Efficient in basic computer skills: accessing and sending emails, completing online certifications and tests, etc.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues or problems that could arise or the ability to direct said issue or problem to the appropriate team.
- This role requires regular in-person work at our Florence, KY office. Candidates must live within commuting distance.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience with advanced metal fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software or machinery.
