Fabricator – Direct Hire
Location: Florence, KY 41042
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: Starting at $52,000 annually
Shift Differential: Additional $2.50/hour for 2nd Shift
Work Schedule
- 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
- Fridays: Mandatory overtime as required
- Flexibility: Schedules may be adjusted based on operational needs
Position Summary
The Fabricator is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery. This role ensures equipment is produced and maintained according to operational demands while identifying opportunities to improve service delivery processes. The Fabricator plays a key role in both shop and field equipment readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate metal fabrication equipment including:
- Rolls, shears, saws, punch presses, flanges, and benders
- Use machinery and hand tools to:
- Cut, bend, roll, flange, weld, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes
- Follow layouts, blueprints, templates, and work instructions
- Utilize measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
- Detect and report equipment issues or unusual conditions to supervision
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Participate in pre-job meetings and toolbox talks
- Operate equipment in accordance with procedures and competency levels
- Identify and suggest process improvements for service delivery
- Assist with failure investigations when applicable
- Apply manufacturing system principles to support continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 0–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred (entry-level candidates welcome)
- Basic blueprint reading skills required
- Familiarity with measuring tools and layout processes
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and management
- Basic computer skills (email, online training systems, etc.)
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues or escalate appropriately
- Must reside within commuting distance of Florence, KY (this is an on-site role)
