About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Support Technician to join a leading company in the industrial equipment sector. In this role, you will contribute to delivering safe, efficient, and reliable services to customers, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, and providing technical assistance and maintenance support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, efficient, and reliable services to customers.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and provide technical assistance.
- Perform customer preventative maintenance service and on-site warranty work.
- Assist with equipment start-up for larger installations and major equipment.
- Rebuild and maintain centrifuge RTA’s and all SWECO equipment.
- Maintain field test equipment and perform field testing along with quality & safety audits.
- Facilitate effective communication between field sales, customer service, and sales management.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to meet customer expectations.
- Provide technical assistance via phone, fax, or other forms of communication.
- Complete technical product reports and provide sales support for visiting customers.
- Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet customer demands.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- 5 years of mechanical assembly experience is required.
- Welding experience is required; certification and/or trade school completion is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 requirements and continuous improvement methods.
- Willingness to travel 10-50% of the month, with the possibility of extensive travel as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a CDL license for driving company trucks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Good interpersonal and sales skills with internal and external customers.
- Initiative and ability to work effectively with little direction and/or few guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and electrical background.
- Experience in the industrial equipment sector.
