Operations Support Technician

Location: Florence, KY 41042
Pay Rate: $70,000/year
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Travel: 10-50% (Overtime expected during travel)

Position Overview

We are seeking an Operations Support Technician to provide technical support, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, field service, and customer support for industrial screening and centrifuge equipment. This role is responsible for equipment installations, warranty service, preventative maintenance, field testing, technical reporting, and customer training while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, welding experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and enjoys working directly with customers in both shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds on centrifuge RTA equipment and other industrial equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and perform field repairs at customer locations.
  • Complete equipment startups, major installations, warranty work, and on-site service calls.
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and other communication methods.
  • Conduct field testing, product evaluations, quality audits, and safety audits.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting product performance and service activities.
  • Support customer demonstrations and field testing for visiting customers.
  • Coordinate schedules and assignments to meet customer service demands.
  • Maintain communication between field sales, customer service, and sales management.
  • Maintain field testing equipment and service tools.
  • Assist with additional operational projects as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Welding experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical assembly or mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to customer sites.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain a CDL after hire.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel 10-50% of the month based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding certification or trade school education.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with ISO 9000 standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Industrial equipment service or field technician experience.
  • Previous customer-facing technical support experience.
