API 1104 test, individuals may take the test once they have demonstrated the necessary competencies to pass. If those competencies are demonstrated at the 90-day mark, we can proceed with the testing at that time.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Welding Machines to ensure quality parts are produced and provided to the customer ina timelymanner.In addition to primary weldingfunctionsassistanceon steel assembly and CNC Operations is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Set-up andoperateall Welding equipment and fixtures in a safe and efficient manner.
Set-up and adjustweldingmachine to achieve a quality product.
Perform first piece and continual inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments.
Perform daily upkeep and routine maintenance, keeping equipment and production area in good working order.
Follow instructions from lead person and supervisors.
Perform minor maintenance on welding equipment and fixtures.
Request needed supplies forweldingdepartment.
Comply withand support all aspects of the companys quality management program.
Instructlesserskilled employees in the welding area.

Qualifications & Trainings:
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skillsnormallyacquiredthrough a high school diploma or GED.
Must have one (1) year experience in welding orminimumof six (6) months as a Welding C.
General knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
General understanding of basic welding operations
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
Ability to apply commonsenseunderstanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasksin a timely manner
Knowledge of proper use of safety equipment,i.e.safety glasses, ear plugs, and work boots where necessary.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Standing at one station for up to two hours at a time
Work in weldinghood, gloves, safety glasses, and other proper welding protective equipment.
Work in temperatures of up to 100 degrees at times.
Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.
Work usually takes place in a manufacturing environment where conditions can be reflective of the outside elements.
