Overview: We are searching for an experienced Direct Labor at our Kalamazoo, MI facility.

Responsibilities:

• Sets up and operates variety of woodworking machines and uses various hand tools to fabricate and assemble doors by performing the following duties.
• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Sets up and operates woodworking machines such as power saws, jointer, molder, and shaper, to cut and shape parts from wood stock.
• Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit
• Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels.
• Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit.
• Drives nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Work with hand tools
• Read door tags and tape measure
