    Role Description The Direct Service Provider role at MIKID is an on-site position based in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, the team member provides direct support to children, youth, and families engaged in the public behavioral health system, including teaching skills, supporting treatment goals, and helping families navigate services. Daily responsibilities may include meeting with families in community settings, documenting services provided, collaborating with clinical and school staff, and assisting with parent education and support groups. The Direct Service Provider also helps connect families to appropriate community resources, supports crisis prevention and intervention when needed, and participates in team meetings and ongoing training to ensure quality, trauma-informed services.\n

    • Experience providing direct support or services to children, youth, or families in behavioral health, social services, education, or related settings.
    • \n
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust, listen actively, and work respectfully with families from diverse backgrounds.
    • \n
    • Organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining accurate records, following service plans, and meeting reporting requirements.
    • \n
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, such as clinicians, school personnel, and community partners.
    • \n
    • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about children’s behavioral health, family systems, crisis prevention, and community resources in Arizona.
    • \n
    • Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally within the Phoenix area as needed for home, school, and community visits.
    • \n
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in behavioral health, social work, psychology, or related field is preferred.
    • \n
    • Ability to pass any required background checks and meet applicable state or agency credentialing requirements.
