Must have CPR/First Aid, Article 9, Prevention and Support Certificates etc
Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills preferred
Preferably have reliable transportation
Minimum age: 18 years or older
Preferably have experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
Job Responsibilities:
Assist members in performing activities of daily living including but not limited to
· Eating
· Toileting and cleaning
· Mobility
· Transferring
Accompany members on group outings in the community.
Provides assistance, monitoring, and/or training to individuals in self-care, self-direction, independence, mobility, and learning as directed by the Individual Service Plan (ISP) to enhance each individual's skill development, health, freedom, and personal dignity.
Ability to teach members basic life skills such as shopping, banking, money management, access and use of community resources, and community survival skills etc.
Transports members to medical, vocational, social activities, day program etc.
Assist members in medication administration
Assists with safety skills, including but not limited to, basic first aid, fire drills, and handling emergency situations
Provides emotional/ social support to members when needed
Performs daily housekeeping chores which includes but not limited to cleaning restrooms, Vacuuming, dusting, moping etc.
