The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our mission-driven team on 3rd shift. In this role, you’ll support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in living full, empowered, and independent lives at home and in the community.
Position Details
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Locations: Lucas and Wood County
Schedule:Full-Time 3rd Shift — 4 weeknights and every other weekend
Hours: Full-time (consistent overnight schedule)
Responsibilities include assisting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live their best lives:
Providing respectful, person-centered support with daily living tasks
Assisting with personal care (ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.)
Supporting social, recreational, and community engagement
Preparing meals and completing household tasks (cleaning, laundry, etc.)
Transporting individuals to appointments or outings safely
Encouraging independence and goal achievement
Accurately documenting activities, incidents, and progress
Communicating professionally with team members, families, and individuals served
Attending required paid training and team meetings
Qualifications you need to thrive in this role:
High school diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points)
Proof of auto insurance
Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings
