Direct Support Professional Harry Meyering Center supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and community. Job Purpose Make a difference every day as a Direct Support Professional. You'll assist individuals in reaching their personal goals, encourage greater independence, and provide support both in the home and throughout the community. Along the way, you'll build meaningful relationships while gaining valuable experience in the human services field. Wage: $18.00 per hour for full-time and part-time employees. Schedules Available: 8–40 hours per week Mornings, evenings, or overnights Every other weekend required Holiday/fill‑in opportunities Flexible scheduling Qualifications: 18 with a high school diploma or GED Valid U.S. driver’s license & acceptable driving record Must pass MN DHS Background Study Strong communication skills Willingness to learn, no experience required Preferred experience: CNA, PCA, DSP, caregiver, or similar What You’ll Do: Provide respectful, individualized care. Assist with personal cares. (dressing, bathing, feeding, etc.) Support daily living activities. (cooking, cleaning, laundry) Participate in community outings.
