Position Summary
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide direct care and personalized support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community setting, ensuring their health, safety, and welfare.
Key Responsibilities
• Understands, supports and advocates with people we support by helping them achieve their vision of a good life. • Identifies, documents and shares concerns and successes as appropriate. • Transports and accompanies people to activities, appointments and events. • Helps with personal care tasks as needed. • Assists with money management by promoting independence. • Administers medications. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Certification Requirements
Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of start date and pass Medication administration within 2 months of start date.
Clearance Requirements
Satisfactory Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearance required.
License & Travel
Must have a valid PA Driver's License. Company vehicle provided for work-related duties.
