Grace Community Care of New Jersey is seeking a dependable and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide 1:1 support to a young adult male with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching independence, promoting accountability, and serving as a positive role model.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Position Summary
This is not a group home position. The DSP will provide individualized support focused on helping the individual develop the life skills necessary to live as independently as possible. Provide one-on-one support in the home and throughout the community.
Coach and prompt the individual to complete Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, meal planning, meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and organization. Plan and participate in enriching community experiences including:
Museums
Art exhibits
