Direct Support Professional - Home Care

Global Health Services Corporation is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Home Care Support team in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in a home setting
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional monitoring
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed
• Facilitate community integration, social activities, and skill-building opportunities
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding client well-being

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Prior experience in home care, direct support, or a related caregiving role preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and client-centered approach
• Ability to follow care plans, document services, and communicate effectively with a care team
