Direct Support Professional

About the Role:
WE SUPPORT YOU LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Little Ferry, NJ. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and recreational outings
• Encourage skill-building and promote independence in daily activities
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
• Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved techniques and protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to person-centered care
