Job Summary:
Provides support to help individuals participate in activities and develop life skills.
Essential Functions:
1. Provides one-on-one support to help individuals build interpersonal and other life skills as outlined in each person's PCP or individualized employment plan.
2. Maintains documentation of individual activities and submits reports to appropriate Workforce staff.
3. Reports weekly to the Workforce Manager on the progress of assigned individuals receiving services.
4. Assists Goodwill Industries in maintaining positive relationships with families, guardians, and
community partners.
5. Follows and implements all applicable safety laws, regulations, and policies to ensure the
safety of individuals in the program, Goodwill staff, transportation services and community activities.
6. Completes accident reports, unusual occurrence reports and/or CMH incident report immediately.
7. Assists with planning and implementing daily activities.
8. Provides personal care for some participants.
7. Transports participants on outings using Goodwill vehicles.
8. Performs additional duties as assigned by Workforce Manager.
Education and/or Experience: A high school diploma or GED is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is helpful. The incumbent must: Obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire; training is provided in-house.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
