About the Role:


Divine Homes Healthcare Services LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) with RBT experience to join our team in McLean, VA.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), particularly individuals with behavioral support needs. This position requires someone who is patient, observant, reliable, and comfortable implementing established behavior support strategies.


Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and individualized support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Follow Individualized Support Plans (ISPs) and established behavior support plans
• Implement appropriate behavioral interventions and de-escalation strategies
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and household tasks
• Support community outings, social activities, and community integration
• Observe, document, and report behaviors, progress, incidents, and significant changes
• Administer medications as authorized and monitor health and safety
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and other members of the support team
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy

Requirements:

• RBT experience required
• Experience working with individuals with behavioral support needs
• Previous experience as a DSP, RBT, behavioral technician, caregiver, or in a related direct-care role
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenging behaviors
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and person-centered
