Eligibility and payout terms apply\n Flexible scheduling options\n Paid training and career development opportunities\n Health benefits, paid time off, and additional cash bonus opportunities for eligible employees\n Mileage reimbursement for eligible travel\n \nYour exact starting rate may also vary based on the type of support provided, assigned schedule, and work location.\n \nWhat You'll Do\n \nAs a Direct Support Professional, you will help individuals build daily living skills, participate in their communities, and work toward their personal goals.\n \nResponsibilities may include:\n\n Reading, understanding, and following each individual's Individual Support Plan\n Reporting updates, progress, and concerns to the IDD Program Specialist\n Assisting with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and transportation\n Encouraging participation in shopping, social events, appointments, and other community activities\n Supporting individuals as they work toward personal goals and greater independence\n Promoting personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity, and respect\n Accurately documenting services, activities, and progress\n Communicating with team members to provide consistent, high-quality support\n \nRequired Qualifications\n \nCandidates must be at least 18 years old and meet at least one of the following requirements:\n\n High school diploma or equivalent\n Completion of a state-approved training program\n Demonstrated competency and a passing score on the required written competency test\n \nCandidates must also have:\n\n The ability to successfully complete required background checks and in-service training\n A valid driver's license\n Reliable transportation with proof of insurance, vehicle registration, and inspection\n The ability to provide safe and respectful support in individuals' homes and communities\n Compassion, reliability, and a commitment to helping others\n \nWhy Help at Home?\n \nFor more than 50 years, Help at Home has provided trusted, person-centered care in local communities. This new hire bonus is paid in 8 increments, with the total accumulated $1,000 paid out after the caregiver has worked 1,000 hours from the start date. Caregivers must be active and must use electronic visit verification for hours to accumulate toward payout milestones. Caregivers transferring from an organization within the Help at Home, LLC portfolio of companies are not eligible to receive the bonus. Former employees must be returning after an absence period of at least one year to be eligible. The milestones must be reached within 18 months from start date.\n \nCaregivers must comply with state background screening requirements.
