The Community-Based Day Support Professional provides person‑centered instruction, support, and supervision to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in both program and community settings. This role promotes independence by teaching essential life skills, supporting community participation, implementing Individuals Service Plan (ISP) goals, and maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive environment. Responsibilities include activities of daily living (ADL) and independent living services (ILS) support, community engagement, vocational exploration, behavioral support consistent with Positive Behavior Supports (PBS), accurate documentation, dispense medications as needed, and collaboration with families, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams. The CBDS Professional serves as a positive role model while fostering personal growth, meaningful relationships, and full community membership

Work Environment
This job operates in both a professional office setting as well as in the community. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
