Director, Business Development - Service & Training

Position Summary

The Director, Business Development - Service & Training is responsible for leading strategic initiatives to expand the organization's service and training offerings. This role will drive revenue growth, foster client relationships, and develop new business opportunities in line with organizational goals. The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance training programs and deliver excellent service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies for the service and training portfolio.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand client base and increase revenue.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of innovative training solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to inform business strategy.
  • Prepare and present business proposals, contracts, and presentations to executive leadership.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and pricing for service and training projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of service and training initiatives and recommend improvements.
  • Support marketing and promotional activities for training programs and service offerings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Education, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or related area.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing service and training portfolios.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, client management, and proposal development.
  • Advanced analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Education, or relevant discipline.
  • Experience in the service, training, or consulting industry.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or sales (e.g., CSM).
  • Familiarity with learning technologies and digital training platforms.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
