TYPE OF POSITION/EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY: Full-Time

DEPARTMENT: Center for Access and Disability

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm

  • Occasional evening and weekend work required: Various campus events including but not limited to Open House, Accepted Students Day, and Commencement activities.

REMOTE WORK: Occasional

TRAVEL: Occasional travel for professional development.

HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 52 weeks/year

FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Salaried

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Director for the Center for Access and Disability provides strategic leadership for the university's accessibility and disability services by ensuring compliance with ADA and Section 504, overseeing the interactive process for student accommodations, and supervising the team that delivers those services. The director partners closely with faculty, staff, and campus leaders to build an accessible learning environment-through training, consultation, and integration of assistive technologies-while managing budgets, policies, and data-informed assessment to strengthen student success and institutional compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide and coordinate accommodations for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with ADA and Section 504 (e.g., academic, housing, and auxiliary aids).
  • Plan and deliver professional development and training for faculty, staff, and students related to disability access, ADA, and Section 504 obligations.
  • Supervise Center staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance feedback, and support for professional growth.
  • Conduct regular assessment and reporting on the Center's services and outcomes to support continuous improvement and institutional and legal compliance.
  • Provide strategic oversight and policy guidance for the University's Testing Center, including coordination with the Testing Center Coordinator on standards, accommodations, and test security.
  • Manage and monitor the Center's budget, including planning, expenditures, and stewardship of resources in alignment with institutional priorities.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree (Counseling, education, psychology or a related field)
  • 3 to 5 years of work related experience, including supervisory experience
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Accommodate or similar

RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT

  • Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring annual salary for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. This annual salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
