Nursing Administration
The Director, Clinical Operations (DCO) reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. The DCO works as a member of a self-directed leadership team, which is committed to a common purpose and goals that align with the Hospital Strategic Plan, Pillars of Excellence and STAR Values. The DCO is responsible for forecasting, planning, and managing resource requirements, and collaborates with all department directors to ensure resources are allocated/used in a manner that optimizes the hospital's performance according to the strategic plan. The DCO may also have collateral responsibility for patient care services and for the hospital's short-term and /or long-term projects/programs. The DCO contributes to positive outcomes and to meeting the cultural expectations of the organization by exhibiting professional behavior. The DCO serves as a resource and role model to all members of the healthcare team and the community we serve. The DCO will provide operational and project leadership for clinical workforce forecasting and planning for SVMH while seeking new staffing models to drive efficiencies. The DCO will guide the deployment of ongoing development and integrated demand-oriented management systems and process, which takes into consideration the needs of the patient, staff and organization objectives. The DCO performs other duties as assigned.
Education: A degree from an accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor Degree required. Master's degree in Nursing or related field such as MBA, Healthcare Administration or Allied Health preferred.
Licensure: Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Certification: Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards required.
Experience: Three (3) years' experience in progressively responsible and directly related nursing leadership roles. Previous proven, successful leadership experience required. Demonstrates sufficient manual dexterity to operate office equipment, including printers, copiers and computer terminals with reasonable speed.

Pay Range: The hourly rate for this position is $97.09 - $121.35. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
