Summary: As Cook Childrens Director of Compensation, you will be a key member of the Compensation leadership team and have shared accountability for the success of the function. You will work without considerable direction in guiding the implementation and administration of all employee and provider pay programs. In your role, you will ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness according to the established compensation design process, standard operating procedures and company policies. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President ("AVP"), you will be a backup to the AVP, a thought leader, and a trusted advisor who helps communicate and manage Compensation's role, vision, and purpose to the organization. You will lead the Compensation Analysts and Compensation Consultants in delivering excellent service by assessing and resolving a myriad of compensation challenges. You will train and develop leaders, establishes standard operating procedures, recommends modification to policy, and directs the day-to-day activities of the Compensation Lead, and Analysts.

In the Director role, you will routinely partner and work in concert with other HR functions (e.g., HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, HRIS) employing a wide degree of creativity and latitude in advancing HR and Compensation strategy. Finally, you will maintain an understanding of and ensures compliance with applicable state and federal employment and wage and hour laws. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in compensation administration or a related HR role
  • 5+ years overseeing the operations of a compensation team
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration/management, finance, human resources, psychology or related field
  • In lieu of bachelor's degree, 10 years of progressive experience in a substantially similar role may be substituted for the education
