The Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships (CDSP) team's mandate is to grow revenue and margin through mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. The Director of Corporate Development reports to the VP of Portfolio Strategy & Corporate Development and leads end‑to‑end evaluation and execution of strategic opportunities.ResponsibilitiesOpportunity Leadership: For high‑priority initiatives, lead the end‑to‑end process of framing, evaluating, and executing opportunities. Hybrid work may be accommodated as needed.QualificationsEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree is required.Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related) is strongly preferred.Work Experience3+ years of progressive experience (post‑graduate school) or 5+ years (pre‑graduate school) in leading strategy, M&A, partnerships, and transformation projects at a leading strategy and management consulting firm for large, complex healthcare organizations or academic medical centers.Similar experience in private equity or investment banking is also acceptable.Candidates without consulting experience must have at least 7 years of work experience, with at least 5 years of progressive experience in M&A, partnerships, transformation, strategy, strategic planning, or related fields within large, complex healthcare organizations or academic medical centers.SkillsSuccess in leading and executing transactions, partnerships, strategy design, opportunity assessments, competitive analysis, and business case development in healthcare.Exceptional analytical, financial, and problem‑solving skills for opportunity assessment and data‑driven decision making.Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.Strong written presentation skills using PowerPoint and Word.Ability to influence at all levels and build trusted relationships with senior leaders and external partners.Experience working in or with academic health systems is preferred.Experience with analysis in the New York metro market is a plus.Experience conducting advanced analytics with SQL, Python, and R is a plus.Equal Opportunity EmployerThe Mount Sinai Health System is an equal opportunity employer, complying with all applicable federal civil rights laws.
