Director, Corporate Engagement – Business Development (EOI)OverviewThe Director, Corporate Engagement – Business Development (EOI) serves as a seasoned sales specialist within Year Up United's Corporate Engagement function. The role focuses on securing high‑quality work‑based experiences for all Year Up United students and building partnerships with major corporations nationwide. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Engagement – Business Development (EOI), the Director will develop new relationships that yield internship placements with Employers of Influence partners, facilitating large volumes of interns per cycle across multiple geographies. The position involves direct interaction with students as a coach and advocate while also driving organizational growth through sales, strategy and business development.Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development and Relationship ManagementManage a portfolio of target EOI accounts and drive external activity and top‑down sales.Review personal pipeline monthly to add or remove target accounts.Meet or exceed performance indicators such as number of meetings with executives per month, cross‑selling of other Year Up United offerings, internship placements, and revenue from new partners.Regularly attend networking or industry events to acquire new leads for self or colleagues.Create and share proposals featuring Year Up United's model and past successes for solving corporate entry‑level talent needs.Oversee logistics related to client accounts and craft account‑specific playbooks for other Corporate Engagement colleagues.Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.Engage with C‑level executives and decision‑makers in formal and informal settings.Site Team / Learning Community MemberServe as a coach/mentor for a small number of current students.Join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students.Participate in staff meetings and trainings.QualificationsAt least 10 + years of professional experience in strategic account management and/or sales to enterprise‑level accounts.Consultative sales approach experience.Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close business, and manage annual sales targets of $5 M +.Documented strengths in meaningful relationship building.Demonstrated ability to set direction and manage projects and processes.Strong organizational and time‑management skills with exceptional attention to detail.Professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects.Ability to collaborate across teams, facilitate difficult conversations, and resolve issues.Ability to lead, willingness to be led, and comfort with situational leadership.Consummate networking skills with an ability to move comfortably and credibly in the community.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required, familiarity with Salesforce.com helpful.Passion for working with and advocating for young adults in the field and a strong commitment to the mission of Year Up United.Understanding of the Opportunity Divide and its drivers.Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.Salary Range$118,100 – $152,000Working at Year Up UnitedStarting January 5, 2026, employees are expected to work on‑site at least two days per week (Monday through Thursday, depending on job requirements). Candidates must live and work in a state (or an approved proximate state) where Year Up United operates. Approved proximate states: Connecticut, Indiana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Virginia.Compensation & BenefitsSalary range is competitively set for each site to ensure equity across geographic markets.
