Director - CRE & CMBS Credit Officer

Job TitleSenior Credit Analyst for Real Asset TransactionsJob DescriptionThe successful candidate will partner closely with investment banking, origination, portfolio management, and risk teams to assess transaction structures, identify key credit risks, and support prudent growth across the real assets portfolio. The position offers significant visibility with senior business leaders and involvement in high-profile transactions across multiple asset classes.Responsibilities include:Review and approve credit proposals involving commercial real estate, infrastructure, asset-backed transactions, and other real asset financing opportunities.Perform independent credit analysis of sponsors, borrowers, projects, and underlying collateral.Assess transaction structures, cash flow generation, leverage levels, covenant packages, and repayment sources.Evaluate portfolio risks and monitor existing exposures to identify emerging credit concerns.Provide effective challenge to underwriting assumptions and transaction recommendations.Partner with front office and risk stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.Participate in credit committees and present recommendations to senior management.Ensure transactions comply with internal risk frameworks, credit policies, and regulatory requirements.Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors affecting real asset investments.Support portfolio reviews, stress testing exercises, and risk reporting initiatives.Contribute to enhancements of credit policies, risk methodologies, and governance frameworks.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
