Acrotech Biopharma is focused on building a presence in unmet needs in oncology and dermatology. We are currently building out a new Dermatology Business Unit to launch ADQUEY a novel treatment for mild to moderate Atopic Dermatitis.

Job Overview

The Director, Dermatology TLL will help support ADQUEY by identifying market needs and opportunities through insight generation to help inform home office marketing strategy. The TLL team will also build advocacy for ADQUEY and Acrotech among Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), professional societies/advocacy groups, and other influential stakeholders.

To lead the team, you must be an exceptional leader with deep dermatology experience and existing relationships with dermatology KOLs. Since you will act as a player/coach, you must have strong expertise as a TLL, understanding the role, how to measure effectiveness, how to fine tune the responsibilities, and how to develop people so the TLL team is most effective and accountable.

The Director, Dermatology TLL will report to the Marketing Lead. This position will have responsibility for a specific geography and will be responsible for leading other TLLs.

All TLL interactions are always within label, and consistent with commercial compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Support the launch of ADQUEY partnering cross functionally with the entire organization to ensure Commercial KOL engagements are being coordinated both strategically and operationally.
  • Hire, lead, manage, and develop a strong team of TLLs to achieve and exceed company goals.
  • Gather market insights:
  • Gain KOL insights and perceptions of Acrotech Biopharma brands.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, treatment protocols, and other market and reports findings to Marketing leadership.
  • Support the development of brand strategy based on insights gained through KOL engagement and congress attendance.
  • Provide support for commercial Advisory Boards.
  • Engage with KOLs and other Market Influencers to build advocacy for Acrotech and ADQUEY:
  • Identify, profile, cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with national and regional KOLs.
  • Act of Acrotech/Brand ambassadors through compliant interactions
  • Identifies potential speakers
  • Support commercial activities at congresses including leading Executive Encounters during key congresses
  • Identify, profile, cultivate, and maintain long-term relationships with leadership at key professional societies/advocacy groups
  • Recommend and recruit KOLs for commercial initiatives such as sales training programs, Acrotech national meetings, and other projects where KOL expertise is required.
  • Participate in any special projects assigned by the Marketing Leadership

Qualifications - Skills & Requirements

  • Expertise in the role of the TLL with understanding of:

  • Methods to measure performance and ensure accountability.

  • The Compliance landscape shaping the role of the TLL.

  • How to fine-tune TLL responsibilities to compliantly meet the needs of the dermatology commercial teams

  • How various companies/therapeutic areas structure and define the TLL role

  • Broad range of leadership competencies and ability to work in cross-functional role.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills

  • Understand, maintain and comply with all Acrotech Compliance Policies and Procedures as we adhere to FDA, OIG and Pharma Guidelines

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS degree in business, science, or other related discipline.
  • 10 years pharmaceutical experience.
  • 4 years of dermatology with demonstrated established relationships with dermatology KOLs.
  • 4 years in a previous people leadership role with demonstrated ability to develop direct reports.
  • Ability to travel overnight to cover a multi-state geography and attend home office, local/regional/national meetings and conventions as necessary.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
