Job Title: Director of Distribution & Fulfillment

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Distribution & Fulfillment to oversee end-to-end operations across multiple facilities in the U.S. and Canada. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, on-time order fulfillment, and overall profitability. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on experience in high-volume distribution environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage distribution and fulfillment operations across four facilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals
  • Oversee inventory management, forecasting, and order fulfillment processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and profitability
  • Establish and monitor KPIs including quality, on-time delivery, and cost control
  • Manage operating and capital budgets for distribution operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, IT, and HR
  • Lead hiring, training, and development of operational teams
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and succession planning for team members
  • Oversee warehouse operations, shipping, invoicing, and container tracking
  • Report on performance metrics, financial results, and operational forecasts


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in distribution, fulfillment, or supply chain leadership
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced distribution environments
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and analyze performance
  • Proven leadership and team management experience (10–13 direct reports)
  • Strong project management and process improvement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); AS400 experience is a plus
  • 50%–75% travel required
  • Availability for nights and weekends during peak seasons
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
