The Director of Engineering for Field Applications (FA) is a senior leadership role that bridges technical product development with customer-facing sales support. This position is responsible for leading a team of customer facing technical resources, assist customers with design-in activities, facilitate troubleshooting activities, and contribute to the validation of power supplies (AC-DC, DC-DC, converters) in application. This leader drives technical solutions, aligns product roadmaps with customer needs, and ensures high-level support for accounts in sectors like data centers, AI, and industrial power. Are You Looking To: Leadership & Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of FAEs, fostering a culture of technical excellence and customer focus. Strategic Technical Support: Act as a technical interface for strategic customers, helping to fit solutions to applications. Customer Engagement & Design Wins: Collaborate with sales teams to influence design decisions, perform schematic reviews, and drive the adoption of company power solutions. Product Feedback & Strategy: Provide actionable market intelligence to product engineering and marketing teams to define future product roadmaps and improve existing power products. Troubleshooting & Validation: Oversee lab-based testing (transients, efficiency, thermal management) and debug complex power issues for customers.
