Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Finance & Administration for a mission-driven nonprofit organization based in New Jersey in a hybrid work environment. This is a full-time, leadership opportunity supporting a collaborative and impact-focused team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Finance & Administration provides strategic and operational leadership across finance, accounting, and administrative functions. This role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal operations while partnering closely with executive leadership and the board to support organizational growth and sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee financial operations including accounting, budgeting, reporting, and audit processes
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, including preparation of financial statements and board reports
• Partner with leadership to develop annual budgets and support strategic financial planning
• Supervise administrative and finance team members and support cross-functional operations
• Serve as liaison to board finance and audit committees and external auditors
• Support organizational operations including compliance, insurance, and administrative functions

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and compliance practices
• Experience managing financial systems, reporting tools, and spreadsheets
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to leadership and boards
• Experience supervising teams and supporting organizational operations
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or a related field

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
