Organization: SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley

Position Overview: Provides leadership and direction for the financial decision support systems and reporting at Sutter Health. Manages and maintains cost accounting systems including system admin, data integration and auditing as appropriate. Supports the implementation and acquisition of new lines of business. Provides monthly/quarterly standard reporting and dashboards. Reviews, prepares, analyzes, and presents reports and recommendations to senior leadership regarding operations, programs, services, and/or other applicable areas of interest in order to provide concise and accurate information that aids in decision-making.

Job Description: Please Note: While this position is listed as hybrid, regular in-office attendance is required. Candidates should be prepared to commute to the Sacramento office on a consistent basis to support team collaboration and business needs.

EDUCATION: Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelors: Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 12 years recent relevant experience

Preferred Experience: Accounting systems (including accounts payable, payroll, and procurement), internal controls, financial forecasting, and budgeting.

Advanced understanding of the business environment including the key functional departments such as finance, human resources and payroll, materials management and accounts payable, organizational design, strategy and business development, and process improvement.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of SEQUEL (SQL). Working knowledge of accounting and/or finance operations. Thorough knowledge of managerial/financial accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) used in the preparation of financial statements. Working knowledge of healthcare operations and financial reporting requirements. Knowledge and understanding of healthcare financial and operating challenges and the business environment, including emerging trends and issues. Ability to translate complex financial data and analysis into presentations for appropriate audience. Strategic skills for reviewing processes and strategies to ensure successful alignment with business needs and for identifying improvement opportunities. Analytical skills with proven ability to resolve issues/problems by leveraging business and functional knowledge, and client relationships. Collaborative working style to facilitate open sharing of information and cooperation with various project participants and/or stakeholders. Demonstrates a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues to manage/minimize risks. Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of role's duties while respecting cultural and linguistic differences and fostering an inclusive work environment. Ability to communicate through verbal and written means, and to present concepts and information in a manner that is readily understood by management and employees. Organization and planning skills to effectively delegate, manage and/or re-prioritize activities and projects to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of responsiveness. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities. Ability to use essential applications and/or databases associated with the role's duties and responsibilities.

Pay Range: $152,776.00 to $229,174.40 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
