Job Summary:
The Director, Finance is based at the Leonard Mt. Airy Customer Support Center (CSC), with operations in the U.S., and has responsibility for the Financial Planning & Analysis, providing strategic financial guidance, and driving the financial performance of the company. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and has 1 direct report.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads margin analysis initiatives to optimize pricing strategies and enhance overall profitability.
- Proactively investigates and analyzes low-performing areas, identifies root causes, and implements corrective actions to improve financial performance.
- Develops and executes Leonard’s financial strategy in collaboration with the CFO and executive leadership team.
- Provides financial leadership and direction to align financial objectives with Leonard’s long-term vision and mission.
- Leads the financial planning and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Company goals.
- Analyzes financial data, identifies trends, and provides insights to drive informed decision-making.
- Identifies and assesses financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate them.
- Prepares financial reports and presentations for the executive team and board of directors.
- Manages the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets.
- Develops a reporting strategy, tools, and reports that will provide all levels of management with actionable information for decision-making and analysis of performance results.
- Monitors budget variances, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and implements financial controls as needed.
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Builds and leads a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
- Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic projects.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role.
Travel:
This position may require periodic travel within the United States.
