Director, Financial Business Operations

Responsibilities:

The Director of Financial Business Operations position reports to the VP of finance and operations and is primarily responsible for providing oversight of financial and business operations in inpatient nursing care services and perioperative services. The Director of Financial Business Operations will have a collaborative relationship with the VP of Patient Care Services and the Director of Surgical Services. This director will work to ensure financial and business goals and objectives are met to ensure fiscally viable and optimal service delivery in inpatient nursing care services and perioperative services. This role entails overseeing the supply vendor management, conducting vendor reviews, and ensuring efficient vendor management processes. The Director is also responsible for addressing reporting needs within nursing and preoperative services, overseeing special projects, and serving as a liaison for various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of healthcare operations.

 

Key Accountabilities: 

• Facility Stewardship with financial and business operations in inpatient nursing patient care services and perioperative services. Providing oversight for shift management tools and productivity reviews.

• Provides oversight of the inpatient and perioperative care division as a liaison with healthcare analytics, clinical analyst, strategy manager, finance and others, as appropriate, to support the nursing services decision making process. Provides support and oversight of continuous quality improvement efforts within Norton Healthcare designed to increase patient outcomes, increase patient satisfaction, and improve the utilization of NHC resources.

• Participates in budget development and management of inpatient care and perioperative divisions. Analyzes clinical and business information systems data for the purpose of making recommendations for operational and strategic planning. Review and approves all FTE proposals within inpatient and perioperative care divisions to ensure alignment with productivity goals to include reviewing the accuracy of assumptions and data used in the proposal.

• Provide oversight for supply vendor management. Provide oversight for vendor review and management with existing vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Five years operations or finance in a healthcare setting
• Bachelor Degree

Desired:

• Three years management in operations or finance
• Master Degree
• Certified Public Accountant
