The Director, FP&A reports to the SVP, FP&A and is an integral member of the expanding FP&A team. This role will serve as a key business partner to executive leadership, operational leaders, physician leaders, and integration teams.

A critical responsibility of this position will be serving as the finance lead for the integration of a large, newly acquired physician practice platform (“Division”), including operational integration planning, synergy tracking, reporting standardization, and post-close performance management. The ideal candidate combines strong finance expertise (healthcare experience preferred but not required) with exceptional analytical capabilities, leadership skills, and the ability to translate financial insights into operational action.

 

Job Location: New Providence, NJ

Compensation Range: $120,000-$180,000 (DOE)

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary financial liaison between newly acquired Division responsible for all financial related integration activities and key business partner to Operations and Integrations teams to assist in execution of integration plan
  • Build and monitor integration financial models, synergy targets, and post-acquisition performance metrics
  • Standardize reporting structures, chart of accounts, budgeting methodologies, and financial processes across organizations
  • Identify operational and financial risks associated with integration and develop mitigation strategies
  • Produce monthly financial reporting packages, variance analyses, KPI dashboards, and executive presentations related to newly acquired Division
  • Lead the annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecast processes for newly acquired Division and assist in annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecast processes across all practice locations
  • Analyze trends in revenue cycle, provider productivity, staffing, labor costs, payer mix, and practice profitability
  • Be an essential artner to operations leaders by helping to identify opportunities for margin improvement, cost optimization, and productivity enhancement
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting automation, data integrity, and business intelligence capabilities
  • Support build-out of financial budgeting / planning software (Workday Adaptive Planning)
  • Work with physician leaders and operator inupport capital planning and return-on-investment analyses for new locations, service expansions, and technology investments

 

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 5-8+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A leadership experience
  • Ability to proactively work independently / problem solve
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of physician practice operations, provider productivity metrics, and healthcare reimbursement models
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Ability to extract and analyze large datasets to develop insights which inform business trends and processes
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders

 

Preferred

  • Healthcare industry experience, preferably within physician practice management, ambulatory care, or healthcare services, or other private equity-backed healthcare platforms
  • Familiarity with Healthcare Revenue Recognition and physician compensation models
  • Experience with healthcare BI platforms, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Adaptive planning tools
  • Experience supporting financial workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale integrations
