A global financial services institution is seeking a Director-level technology professional to support its fixed-income rates and interest-rate swap trading business. This person will own the stability and operational performance of business-critical trading applications, electronic execution workflows, market connectivity, pricing interfaces, and related production systems.
The position combines hands-on production support with platform ownership, incident leadership, project implementation, and direct engagement with traders and senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will help deliver reliable trading technology while strengthening monitoring, automation, controls, and platform resilience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support ION and other technology used by Rates and Interest-Rate Swap traders
Monitor electronic trading connectivity, pricing feeds, interfaces, and execution workflows
Lead production-incident response, escalation, recovery, and stakeholder communication
Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative measures
Serve as a senior technology partner to traders, sales, Middle Office, and Operations
Coordinate requirements, testing, releases, upgrades, venue onboarding, and production validation
Manage escalations across Development, Infrastructure, Networking, Market Data, vendors, and trading venues
Support audit, compliance, SOX, access reviews, recovery procedures, and operational controls
Improve monitoring, automation, documentation, resilience, and support processes
Mentor junior technology and support personnel
Role Requirements:
At least 10 years of relevant financial-services technology experience
Strong knowledge of interest-rate swaps and Rates trading workflows
Hands-on experience supporting ION trading applications
Experience with Tradeweb and Bloomberg D2C
Fixed Income, Rates, Swaps, or OTC Derivatives technology experience
Strong production-support, incident-management, and troubleshooting skills
Understanding of electronic trading connectivity and front-to-back processing
Experience leading implementations, releases, upgrades, or platform changes
Excellent business and technical communication
Ability to work flexible hours when required by trading or production activity
Ability to follow the required New York City hybrid schedule
