Overview
Develop, communicate, and lead the vision and business strategy for indirect markets, in alignment with overall company priorities. This role directly impacts P&L for Cook indirect markets and will work with divisional product teams to ensure right product for given market.
Build strong collaborative working relationships with key internal functions. Understand current and needed capabilities and develop a long-term plan and business model, in conjunction with the customer facing teams, for an aligned Cook approach to commercial business, ensuring compliance to policy.
Directly oversee regional business leadership, ensuring teams are efficient, effective, and compliant in both understanding and meeting the needs of our distributors and customers. Work collaboratively with the relevant internal stakeholders from Divisional and Functional leadership to drive improvements and solutions to improve the end-to-end customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, communicate and lead the indirect market sales and business strategy to grow Cook's indirect market business.
- Build partnerships and work in collaboration with other leaders within the Divisions, Functions and Operational Units to implement the indirect market business strategy and ensure alignment in market priorities, programs and processes.
- Maintain a general knowledge of core Division products/ procedures and applicable competitor products.
- Work closely with finance and other internal stakeholders to manage the P&L for the global indirect business.
- Collaborate closely with business managers to implement the strategy for sales, marketing, clinical and business resources with Cook's distributors, that retains current business but also targets future growth opportunities.
- Develop key market relationships and facilitate appropriate corporate involvement to identify key business opportunities and best practices to support the indirect market.
- Lead change initiatives and continuously evaluate through setting and monitoring KPIs and listening to feedback from customers, internal functions and operating units.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback, both formally through the performance management process and informally through daily discussions and interactions, while empowering and recognizing employees for their contributions.
- Act as continuous improvement advocate and drive Continuous Improvement philosophy and practices.
- Ensure that roles and responsibilities, performance expectations and training requirements are developed and clearly documented and communicated to each employee. Cultivate a safe, secure, and supportive environment where employees can thrive, and morale is maintained.
- Responsible for performance and wage reviews for team members.
- Meet deadlines and ensure employees complete administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, policy acknowledgements, submission of performance reviews, etc. in a timely manner.
- Identify and develop current and future leadership team including succession planning.

- Within scope of responsibility, ensure all quality, regulatory, and product-specific requirements are met.
- Understand and be accountable for conducting Cook business with integrity, valuing diversity and culture and in compliance with applicable standards including Cook Medical Distribution Lifecycle Processes and policies.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Extensive experience leading global business strategy in the medical device industry required
- Prior experience working cross-functionally to achieve business objectives and drive efficiencies required
- Prior experience managing managers required
- Prior experience working with and/or managing distributor networks strongly preferred
- Demonstrate strong strategic business skills
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Prior experience leading organizational change
- This role requires fluency in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data concepts, including the ability to critically evaluate AI outputs, improve workflows using approved tools, identify and mitigate bias or inaccuracies, and communicate AI-driven insights clearly and responsibly to peers and managers
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
- Work under general office environmental conditions.
