About Technical Operations

n

BioMarinxe2x80x99s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarinxe2x80x99s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.

Role Overview

The Director, Supply Chain Framework, will lead the design, standardization, and governance of BioMarinxe2x80x99s end-to-end supply chain processes. This leader drives process transformation, operational consistency, and cross-market adoption while partnering across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Clinical, and Commercial to embed best practices and deliver sustained performance improvement

Key Responsibilities

Process Design & Governance

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Partner with the Global Supply Chain Leadership team to develop and maintain end-to-end process standards across Planning, Distribution, Launches, Variations, Value Chain, and Clinical Supply Chain that drive consistency, scalability, and alignment with corporate standards.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Manage changes to these processes through clearly defined approval gates and compliance checks, aligned with global design principles and applicable GxP/regulatory requirements.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Build and sustain the frameworks, documentation, and governance routines that keep processes auditable, transparent, and audit-ready.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Serve as the global process authority for end-to-end supply chain process, with accountability for decision governance, prioritization, and escalation across functions and regions

Transformation & Optimization

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Lead the Supply Chain end-to-end process redesign initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and agility throughout the supply chain in its current scope.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Partner with Digital and Analytics teams to integrate advanced technologies and data-driven solutions into core processes for Supply Chain scope.xc2xa0

Adoption & Capability Building

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Design and deliver capability-building programs, including training and change management strategies, to foster adoption.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Monitor adherence and performance, using insights to refine processes and sustain long-term improvements.

Cross-Functional Leadership

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team, including direct and dotted-line reports, responsible for process excellence, governance, capability building, and continuous improvement.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Align process strategies with broader business objectives by collaborating with Manufacturing, Clinical, QA, Commercial, and Finance.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Serve as a process owner and escalation point for critical issues, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder alignment.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Represent Supply Chain Excellence in senior leadership forums, steering committees, and governance bodies to drive alignment, investment decisions, and adoption.

Performance & Reporting

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Deliver measurable improvements in supply reliability, inventory efficiency, launch execution, compliance readiness, and end-to-end planning effectiveness.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to measure process performance and maturity across the organization.

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Conduct regular assessments to identify improvement opportunities and benchmark against industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Experience leading enterprise transformation or global process ownership

xe2x80xa2 xc2xa0 xc2xa0Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field; MBA or masterxe2x80x99s preferred

The salary range for this position is: $180,000 to $247,500. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
