Director - Integrated Marketing Communications - Buffalo Wild Wings

Director-level marketing role on the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) team within the Buffalo Wild Wings marketing organization. This role is responsible for all paid advertising efforts including the development and production of above the line assets (TV, online video) as well as digital assets and accountability for the delivery of the business results for each window. With ambition for creativity, innovation, and making Buffalo Wild Wings a best in class brand and marketing organization, this role will contribute to the creation of brand marketing plans and oversee execution of those plans.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead development of 360 marketing plans and advertising to deliver on brand and business goals

• Work with cross-functional teams and agency partners to develop 360 marketing plans for each activation window
• Creative development, production and budget management for of above the line (TV and online video) advertising as well as various digital and social assets
• Partner closely with media strategy and planning team on the development of media plans and ongoing media and creative optimizations

2. Manage relationship with AOR

• Partner closely with AOR on the development of 360 plans and advertising
• Ensure AOR is set up for success by providing appropriate business context and clear and actionable briefs + feedback
• Drive SOW alignment

4. Oversee Managers and Associate Managers in their development of respectively assigned projects. Drive team effectiveness, engagement, and advancement towards career goals.

5. Lead development and implementation of unifying brand/campaign ideas, tone of voice, and holistic style guide. Including brand health measurement and optimization.

Requirements:

• 4 Year Degree in Marketing, Advertising or related degree
• 10+ Years of experience Experience in driving the development of 360 marketing plans.
• Financial acumen, particularly as it relates to how marketing budget is allocated in service of delivering Annual Operating Plan.
• Experience in leading agency relationships, advertising creative development, and media plans.
• Restaurant industry experience nice to have.
• A self-starter and entrepreneurial leader with strong work ethic. Performs well in a lean, fast paced environment and brings a combination of high energy and sense of urgency
• Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to speak and write concisely and effectively, adapting messages to a range of audiences
• A creative problem solver with the ability to think outside-the-box to create solutions and drive the strategic direction of the business
• A rigorous marketer, with experience in organizing teams against delivering both brand and commercial objectives
• A leader who thrives in a collaborative, direct, open minded, and supportive culture, where learning, stretching and growing towards new ideas and ways of thinking is encouraged.
• Ability to develop and mentor others.
• Travel - 20% as needed
