Boulder Community Health is seeking an experienced and service-oriented IT Service Delivery Manager to lead and oversee IT Service Delivery operations in support of Boulder Community Health’s strategic objectives and the organization’s day-to-day business and clinical needs.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, responsive, and customer-focused technology services across the enterprise. The position provides operational oversight and strategic direction for the Service Desk, Desktop Support, Biomedical Engineering, and Identity and Access Management (user account provisioning) functions. The IT Service Delivery Manager is accountable for service excellence, operational performance, issue escalation management, process standardization, endpoint and device support, biomedical engineering coordination, identity and access provisioning, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the end-user technology experience.
Working collaboratively with the Chief Information Officer, IT leadership team, business and clinical stakeholders, and external vendors, this role helps ensure technology support services effectively meet the needs of Boulder Community Health, its hospital operations, and BCH-owned clinics. The IT Service Delivery Manager leads and develops supervisors and staff within assigned functional areas, drives accountability for service delivery outcomes, monitors operational activities to ensure timely resolution of issues, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement, customer service excellence, operational efficiency, cybersecurity awareness, and patient safety.
This exempt leadership position includes management responsibilities and participation in an on-call rotation to support critical operational and clinical technology services

Qualifications
•Bachelor of Science degree required. Preferred area of study in business, healthcare, information technology, engineering, or related field.
•Master’s degree in business, healthcare, information technology, engineering, or related field preferred.
•Formal leadership training preferred.
•Information technology service management and/or technical support leadership certification preferred.
•Valid Colorado driver’s license required.
•Seven (7) years in a management level position in a healthcare setting.
•Five (5) years of experience leading IT service operations, end-user support, service desk, desktop support, or other technical support functions in a healthcare environment is preferred.
•Experience with user account provisioning, access management workflows, and operational support process improvement is preferred.
•Experience working with or directly managing biomedical equipment and medical engineering staff is preferred.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
•Partner with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), IT leadership, and operational leaders to provide strategic and operational leadership for the IT organization and hospital.
•Lead all aspects of staff management, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, performance management, recognition, professional development, and corrective actions.
•Complete performance and competency evaluations in a timely manner.
•Ensure effective staffing, resource allocation, workload management, and operational prioritization.
•Direct teams responsible for Service Desk, Desktop Support, Biomedical Engineering, user account provisioning, and related support services, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Healthcare IT Leadership
•Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, industry literature, and participation in professional organizations.
•Stay informed on emerging healthcare technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements impacting healthcare operations and patient care.
Department Operations & Oversight
•Manage departmental financial performance and develop annual operating and capital budgets; support IT budget forecasting across the organization.
•Assist staff in identifying, resolving, and escalating critical issues.
•Oversee Service Desk, Desktop Support, Biomedical Engineering, and user account lifecycle management to ensure effective service delivery and customer communication.
•Establish, monitor, and report service metrics, dashboards, workload trends, and performance outcomes.
•Ensure standardized workflows, knowledge resources, and operational processes are maintained and continuously improved.
•Oversee endpoint technology lifecycle management, service coordination, replacement planning, and issue resolution.
•Ensure account provisioning and deprovisioning processes are timely, accurate, secure, and compliant with BCH policies.
Process Improvement & Governance
•Develop and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and documentation supporting IT service delivery and operational workflows.
•Apply service management and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence and ensure consistent adherence to standards.
•Utilize process improvement frameworks to enhance patient safety, workflow efficiency, customer service, and user access management.
•Lead the identification, prioritization, execution, and reporting of operational improvement initiatives and service-related changes.
Customer Service & Collaboration
•Monitor service performance, customer feedback, and operational trends, implementing improvements as needed.
•Facilitate regular operational reviews with staff and stakeholders to address priorities, issues, and opportunities.
•Collaborate with physicians, nurses, hospital leaders, and staff to understand technology, device, access, and support needs and communicate requirements to IT leadership.
•Partner with vendors and technical teams to maintain and improve support services, device standards, biomedical support, and operational documentation.
Strategic Planning & Vendor Management
•Collaborate with customer departments, executive leadership, and the CIO to develop operating plans, budgets, resource strategies, and support priorities aligned with organizational standards.
•Ensure operational initiatives and service improvements are delivered on time, within budget, and within approved resource allocations.
•Support IT governance and strategic planning efforts by aligning service delivery improvements with the IT Strategic Plan and organizational priorities.
•Develop and manage vendor relationships, ensuring accountability, service quality, and alignment with organizational expectations.
