What does a Director, Logistics do at Swire Coca-Cola?Accountable for the Market Unit transportation, last-mile delivery, and finished goods warehousing across a broad network of Distribution Centers. Leads and engages a staff of approximately 5-9 leaders and approximately 300 employees. Oversees an annual logistics spend of approximately $20-40 million, including direct responsibility for managing a $30M budget and ensuring the successful delivery of 20+ million full goods annually. Collaborates closely with Sales and Supply Chain to plan and execute an exceptional Customer Experience through on-time delivery and in-stock performance.Responsibilities:
Provide direction, leadership, and focus to the market unit's warehousing, inventory and distribution functionsAssess the existing and future requirements of the market unit to deliver optimal, effective and cost-efficient Customer Experience for the unitBuild and develop the market unit's leadership team and its capabilities to engage employees in delivering world class customer responsiveness. (Warehouse and distribution management.)Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaboration with the Sales and Supply Chain teams to improve execution and end to end success for the market unitMaintain connections to external customers to understand their requirements, fill the gaps as needed, and provide solutions to improve Customer Experience and costOversee market unit Logistics budget, annual plan development and metrics by analyzing and reporting data, providing leadership and direction to address areas of concern, and ensuring adequate capacity and capability are in place. Align with Sales to maximize market unit profitability through ongoing routines through service and cost trade offsIdentify and deliver initiatives for improving Logistics capabilities and implement leading practices across the market unit's distribution and warehouse network to contribute to Swire Coca-Cola's industry-first position in the areas of efficiency, cost, and customer satisfactionPerform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or General Business preferred4+ years Operational experience in all aspects of Supply Chain Operations / Logistics Operations required2+ years Operational experience in direct store delivery (DSD) requiredDemonstrated leadership and people management skills with experience leading teams; ability to coach and empower others and to develop talent requiredProven record of success in managing the warehouse/transportation/last mile function in a best practices organization where success has been driven by trying new things requiredDemonstrated ability to deliver business results and a deep appreciation for customer service needs requiredDemonstrated success in building and delivering P&L, operating and capital budgets in medium- to large-size organizations requiredStrong analytical and information technology skills; understanding of new and emerging supply chain management systems
