Position Summary As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes for own department and monitoring the flow of work between own department and others in alignment with broader business objectives, selecting and developing effective managers and work teams, and directing own organization through reliable systems and processes.The Director, Marketing & Sales Development – Americas (the Director) supports the effective development, management and delivery of recruitment and training programs through a variety of delivery methods including instructor‑led, computer‑based, web‑based, and mobile training. The Director also supports the administration of Training and Development programming across the Company – all brands and regions, and supports delivery of programs as required.Responsibilities Training & Development Strategy and Operations Execute, administrate, and measure the effectiveness of training & development programs and initiatives.Contribute to the design, development, administration, and delivery of existing and new training content.Contribute to continuous program and delivery improvements.Identify and build new programs and initiatives to grow the organization's Marketing & Sales learning culture.Research and identify external learning programs that may fit the needs of the organization.Keep abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.Collect and monitor feedback on development programs; leverage feedback to drive improvements to learning design, development, and delivery.Maintain training & development program calendar.Maintain comprehensive records of participation and continued tracking for individuals or departments and regularly provide reports to learning leaders and the business.Facilitate Marketing & Sales training sessions to marketing and sales both virtually and in person, as needed.Business Partnerships Act as a trusted consultant and training resource for business leaders at corporate, regional and site level.Partner with business leaders, policy owners, learning leaders, Subject Matter Experts, and other stakeholders to plan, create, and deliver high-quality training & development programs that meet or exceed program needs.Partner with Corporate Talent Management team during analysis, design, and development of any project to maximize effectiveness of training offerings and curricula.Support the Candidate and Learning Management System when needed, in partnership with the respective corporate teams, to ensure Marketing & Sales specific programing is up to date, optimized and compliant.Perform other duties and projects as needed or assigned by Marketing and Sales leadership.M&S Program & Process Development Use established methodologies in all stages of the design process, including needs assessment, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.Assess development needs by analyzing data and developing and conducting surveys, interviews, and focus groups.Determine modes of delivery (e.g., eLearning, 1‑on‑1, ILT, Virtual) for development programs.Collaborate with learning designers or vendors on the design of engaging training materials for a variety of delivery methods.Research and identify external development programs that may fit the needs of the organization.Keep abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods and techniques.Improve current sales and marketing processes at the direction of the SVP, Sales Development.Talent Development Maintain responsibility for high-quality delivery of training programs (e.g., onboarding courses), ensuring that facilitators have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to deliver with excellence.Review and analyze feedback on programs from internal customers; identify trends and provide follow‑up for issue resolution and appropriate communication to business leaders.Lead skill‑building training projects by working with SMEs, learning designers, and vendors to design and deploy training programs across the Marketing & Sales organization.General Department Operations Develop operating plans and workable business processes for own department in alignment with function strategy.Manage larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring and reporting on the process, progress and results.Influence work of cross‑functional or extended teams.Respond to, solve and make decisions on business requests that have broader department impact and/or moderate risk.Present alternative solutions to business issues by leveraging the broader organization.Work to enhance the organization's capabilities through effective staffing and development of others.Anticipate staffing requirements by comparing business needs with strengths and weaknesses of existing staff.Use appropriate interviewing tools to hire the best managers available.Set and maintain high standards for team and individual performance.Provide timely coaching and feedback, making and rewarding distinctions in performance.Assist more senior associates in achieving business results by acting in a consultative fashion to implement programs impacting the broader organization.Assist in the development and communication of broader organizational goals.Acheive results against budget within scope of responsibility.Take calculated risks to move the department or team forward.Develop and use systems to organize and keep track of information.Balance interests of own group with the interests of the organization.Work with others to identify and remove barriers to success.Readily critique own behavior to acknowledge mistakes and improve future leadership performance and act independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.Develop and manage new special projects as assigned.Perform other duties as appropriate.Candidate Profile Education Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required, or 7+ years' experience leading Marketing and Sales programs and processes supporting corporate and field operations.MSc in Human Resources or relevant field recruitment and development an advantage.Experience Minimum 5 years' functional experience within Sales and Marketing.Minimum 7 years' experience with MVW or industry competitor;
