Description

The Director of MACC-Mexico shall be responsible for operations of the campus. This is a salaried, FLSA exempt position covered by the Public School Retirement System of Missouri.

Qualifications

The Director must possess strong organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to solve problems, work collaboratively, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Bachelor's degree required, a Master's degree and background in higher education is preferred. Supervisory experience is desirable.

Job Responsibilities

The Director of MACC-Mexico shall:

  • Coordinate site operations, instructional programming, and campus services.
  • Provide leadership at MACC-Mexico, collaborating with deans and directors to ensure service quality across departments (Academic Affairs, Workforce Development and Technical Education, Health Sciences, Instructional Technology, Computer Services, LARC, Marketing, Plant Operations, and Access/ADA Services).
  • Maintain expertise in college curriculum, policies, and general operations.
  • Apply college policies consistently in all decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate clear communication between faculty, staff, and college leadership.
  • Provide guidance to faculty and staff to support effective departmental decision-making.
  • Work with Instructional Technology and Computer Services to ensure technology needs of faculty, staff, and students are met;
  • Develop and manage semester course schedules in coordination with other campus locations.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and mentoring of adjunct faculty.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for staff at Mexico Campus.
  • Support staff development by providing and facilitating necessary training.
  • Manage daily activities to ensure the effectiveness of all MACC-Mexico programs.
  • Advise students on academic and career programs, enrollment, financial aid, and student services.
  • Oversee general enrollment for specific programs, including Medical Laboratory Technician, Veterinary Technology, Practical Nursing, and the LPN to ADN Bridge Program.
  • Oversee Business Office functions, including tuition collection, daily deposits, and receipt reconciliation.
  • Serve on college committees as required.
  • Manage facility logistics, coordinating internal and external requests for building and classroom use.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and transfer initiatives.
  • Liaise with partners to coordinate initiatives with external institutions and advisory committees.
  • Oversee the bookstore request process.
  • Oversee annual inventory reporting.
  • Supervise standardized testing administration (e.g., HiSET, Accuplacer, TEAS).
  • Manage emergency protocols, including reporting inclement weather or facility emergencies.
  • Oversee campus security, reporting issues to local law enforcement and the Director of Security.
  • Manage the Mexico campus budget and associated financial reporting.
  • Supervise office staff and daily plant/facility operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
