Director, Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities

An examination will be given to establish an eligibility list for the position of Director, Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities in order to fill a current vacancy. This position is full-time, 260 paid days per year.  Eligibility list will be valid for six (6) months.  

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services, plans, organizes, controls and directs the operations of the Maintenance, Operations and Facilities departments; oversees and facilitates the maintenance, repair and alteration of District buildings and grounds; serves as the District representative in planning and developing facilities and new construction; trains, supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel.

All offers of employment are tentative pending the following pre-employment clearances:
- Fingerprint (from the DOJ & FBI)
- Manager Physical
- Tuberculosis

Examinations will be given by appointment only. Following the conclusion of the examination process, the candidates will be ranked and notified of their scores. 

All examinations will take place at La Mesa – Spring Valley School District's Education Service Center, 4750 Date Avenue, La Mesa, CA 91942 (Phone: 619-668-5700) unless notified otherwise. Exam starts promptly at the scheduled time. Latecomers will not be admitted. Candidates will be required to present valid photo identification prior to sign-in.
