What We're Looking For:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field

Preferred

  • Graduate degree (MBA, MHA, or related field)

Experience

Required

  • 5 years of progressive supervisory and/or management experience
  • 2 years of progressive supervisory and/or management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably supporting Women’s and/or Children’s services (e.g., OB/GYN, pediatrics, or neonatal)

What You'll Do:

The Director of Market Institutes for Women’s and Children’s coordinates the resources necessary to support daily operations, human resource management, fiscal management, and strategic initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, values, and goals across ambulatory clinics, while collaborating with facility and market leadership for acute care operations.  This role has a dedicated focus on advancing Women’s and Children’s ambulatory services, while collaborating closely with facility and market leadership to ensure seamless integration with acute care operations.

 

This role partners with organizational leaders and manages interdependencies across institutes, facilities, submarkets, markets, and the medical group. The Director assumes ownership and accountability for implementing market growth strategies, operational excellence, service enhancements, and program development—specifically driving access, quality, and experience across Women’s and Children’s care.  This includes a strong emphasis on maternal health, pediatric services, and family-centered care delivery models, as well as community engagement initiatives.

 

The Director ensures the market-specific operational infrastructure supports the successful execution of key initiatives, targeted goals, and measurable outcomes, with particular attention to the unique needs of Women’s and Children’s populations.  This leader demonstrates strong operational, analytical, communication, and organizational capabilities, including operational assessments, market analyses, business forecasting, and success metrics tied to market and enterprise goals.

 

Essential Functions

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the institute, ensuring alignment with organizational mission, vision, and values, with a strong emphasis on Women’s and Children’s services.
    • Leads strategic and operational initiatives that support market growth, service excellence, and program development across maternal, pediatric, and family-centered care.
    • Builds strong partnerships across institutes, facilities, submarkets, markets, and the medical group to support coordinated, high-quality Women’s and Children’s care delivery.
    • Creates an inclusive, collaborative work environment that supports team engagement, communication, and performance across multidisciplinary teams.
    • Develops action plans, monitors progress, and drives continuous improvement in operational and strategic priorities, including access, quality, and patient experience for Women’s and Children’s populations.
    • Provides leadership in change management, problem-solving, delegation, and team development.
    • Oversees workforce planning, staff development, coaching, and performance management, ensuring appropriate support for specialized Women’s and Children’s services.
    • Monitors operational and financial performance, develops budgets, and identifies opportunities for efficiency and expense management while supporting program growth.
    • Supports community outreach, marketing initiatives, and external relationship development, with a focus on expanding access and awareness of Women’s and Children’s services.
    • Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable standards, including those specific to maternal and pediatric care.
    • Participates in strategic planning and uses data, market analysis, and forecasting to support decision-making and performance goals, particularly related to growth and access in Women’s and Children’s services.
