Established in 1972, the Northwest Fencing Center (NWFC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fencing education that encourages growth in perseverance and sportsmanship for all. Today, we continue to grow and are known as an international training and competition hub specializing in foil and epee.
We are seeking an experienced Director, to assist our team through our day to day business, balancing nonprofit leadership and sports facility operations while ensuring financial sustainability, staff cohesion, and current programming to our membership of over 220 fencers, staff of 8 individuals, and operational budget of $1.2M.

Salary: Salary range $60,000-$70,000
.75 FTE days with 4 days work. There is the opportunity for full-time work with a salary increase with membership & revenue growth

Hours: Hybrid: remote and onsite each day

The Director will lead the organization, overseeing all programming, membership and the fencing facility. You are both a leader to our team and a trusted point of contact for our members, someone who enjoys providing exceptional service and sets the tone for a positive culture.
Knowledge of or participation in fencing is not required, but an appreciation for lifelong sports education and competition is a plus. Our members range from age 7 to 89, and include both fencers and parents of younger fencers. As such, the Director will need to complete SafeSport certification and background check within thirty (30) days of hiring.
This is a .75 time salaried position with benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and paid time off in addition to paid sick time.
The ideal candidate has at least 3+ years of membership service management experience and 2 years of nonprofit program experience.
