Position Summary:


We are offering to qualified and experienced candidates a sign-on bonus not to exceed 10% of salary for this position.


An amazing opportunity has just opened up for a Director of Nursing Perioperative Services based at French Hospital Medical Center. This position will oversee Perioperative Services for French, a 98 bed hospital located in San Luis Obispo. In this role, you’ll oversee oversee the daily operations of the Operating Room, PACU, Ambulatory Services, and Sterile Processing. You will empower your Nurse Managers and other front line leaders, develop and manage budget, resources allocation, and strategy. You will assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience.


Our surgical department at French Hospital consists of 7 operating rooms, with specialty rooms such as CVOR and a Hybrid suite. The OR suites are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including the Da Vinci Robot. All service lines are supported including cardiac, vascular, ortho, general, urology, ent, ophthalmology, gyn and neuro/ortho spine. We currently have Blue Distinction status for Ortho and Neuro, and are working on TJC accreditation for our Total Joint program.


We are looking for an experienced manager/director, with a track record of success overseeing Periop services. To thrive in this role, you must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. You will tackle tough conversations, and above all, be an educator at heart. Qualifications


Required Education and Experience:


+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.

+ Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and two (2) years of leadership experience required.


Required Licensure:


+ Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
