Director of Accounting & FP&A

Creative Financial Staffing has been exclusively retained by a high-growth publicly-traded company to identify a Director of Accounting & FP&A to join their team! The Director of Accounting & FP&A will be

instrumental in supporting the Company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting, internal controls, and various other finance functions.

This role partners closely with the CFO, Controller, and and leadership team to drive decision-making while also supporting accounting processes, internal controls, and system improvements.

This position is Remote with potential traveling onsite to the Virginia office once/quarter if needed.

Director of Accounting & FP&A Job Responsibilities:

• 
  
  • 
    
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
  • 
    
  • Prepare financial models, variance analysis, and executive reporting
  • 
    
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and Board-level materials
  • 
    
  • Support month-end close and financial reporting
  • 
    
  • Assist with SOX compliance and internal controls
  • 
    
  • Partner cross-functionally to support business initiatives
  • 
    
  • Support ERP optimization and financial systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • 
    
  
  

Director of Accounting & FP&A Qualifications:

• 
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 
    
  • CPA preferred
  • 
    
  • 8-10+ years of progressive accounting, finance, and/or FPA experience
  • 
    
  • Experience in public company and SOX environments, and SEC reporting
  • 
    
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and financial modeling skills
  • 
    
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • 
    
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • 
    
  • ERP and planning tools experience (NetSuite, Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.)
