Director of Accounting Operations
Hybrid| Nonprofit Organization

Compensation: $110,000 - $132,000 base salary + discretionary bonus opportunity up to 10%

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations.
Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal control enhancements.
Research technical accounting matters and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Coordinate external audits and maintain the integrity of financial reporting processes.
Develop, mentor, and lead a team of accounting professionals.
Partner with leadership to support strategic decision-making and organizational initiatives.

Desired Background:

Progressive accounting leadership experience with deep expertise in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Demonstrated success managing, coaching, and developing accounting teams.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
CPA designation preferred.
Experience within nonprofit organizations is a plus.
Exposure to NetSuite, ERP implementations, process automation, or financial systems optimization is highly desirable.
