Support income tax compliance and provision activities by coordinating information, reviewing schedules, and partnering with external tax advisors, with primary ownership maintained by the CFO.
Coordinate and support external audits, including preparation and review of schedules, documentation, and supporting materials.
Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
Ensure accounting practices and processes remain compliant with applicable regulations and company policies.

Process Improvement & Systems Optimization
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across accounting operations, financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls.
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and control risks and implement sustainable solutions.
Drive automation and process improvements designed to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Oversee the optimization and enhancement of financial systems, including NetSuite and Workday Adaptive Planning.
Partner with technology and business teams on system enhancements, integrations, automation, and reporting improvements.
Develop and maintain standardized accounting processes, documentation, and controls across the organization.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Business Support
Partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with operational leaders to improve financial visibility and understanding of business performance.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate accounting data, analysis, and reporting.
Develop and enhance management reporting to provide leadership with clear, actionable financial and operational insights.
Participate in strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects that improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and scalability.
Serve as a trusted accounting resource to departments throughout the organization.

Leadership & Team Development
Lead, develop, and mentor the Controller and accounting team, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to build a high-performing accounting organization.
Foster a culture centered on accuracy, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and ownership.
Ensure the accounting team consistently meets reporting deadlines and maintains high standards for quality and accuracy.
Assess organizational needs and recommend improvements to team structure, processes, and resources as the company grows.
